Please Note: Mother of Pearl is an organic-inorganic composite material produced by some mollusks as an inner shell layer; it is also what makes up the outer coating of pearls. Though it is very strong, resilient and iridescent it does have naturally occurring imperfections. Also know that because this brass urn is not painted or treated and due to the the very nature of brass, this brass urn may tarnish over time. The periodic use of a brass polish will keep this urn beautiful and vibrant over years and years to come.
